My Name is Wendy Ramirez, and I recently started a Sheeks/Sheaks/Shicks Family DNA Project at familytreedna.com

My Line descends from Jacob Sheaks/Sheeks b. abt 1760 in Pennsylvania thru his son John I have asked 3 male cousins to take tests, Only men are eligible for the Y-Dna testing but women can ask a father, brother, cousin etc... to test for their line. The person testing has to be a male Sheeks/Sheaks who descends from a male Sheeks etc..

Right now FTDNA is running a 1/2 price sale on DNA kits ordered thru the Surname Projects. This test includes a 37 Marker Y-DNA (Paternal Line) test as well as a MTDNA test (Maternal Line) the sale price is only good thru 6-24-09
