Surnames: Conner, Comer, Canaday, Kenneday
Looking for the origins of David Conner (AKA Comer), born 1760-1770, moved to North Carolina by 1800. He's listed on a Rowan County tax list in the late 1700s, then I find records of him in Montgomery County, NC (1810-1816) and Davidson County, NC (moved there in the 1820s). He married Susannah (last name unknown), and had at least 3 daughters and 1 son, some of whom were probably born in Montgomery County. All 3 of his daughters married Canaday (AKA Canada/Kenneday/Kennedy) men in Davidson County.

It's possible that he lived in the same place but "moved" from Rowan County to Davidson County when Davidson County was established in 1822.

Anybody recognize this David Conner/Comer in Rowan County? He may have immigrated with other families into the state, maybe the Canadays from Halifax Cty, VA.
