I have been told that Wendel Miller was the possible father of my Frederick Miller whose daughter Catherine Miller married Jacob Grimes in Rowan County and lived on Miller's plantation on Farmer's Creek which feeds into Abbott's Creek and that into the Yadkin River. This info is according to a deed dated 1789.
According to what I have, Wendel's son Frederick was born Nov 11, 1756.
Many have also argued that Catherine's father Frederick was the son of George Miller.
I find another reference to Wendel Miller b. 1704 Germany with a son Frederick b. 1740 Pa D. 1783 Surry County NC.
DAR records of Miss Minnie Adler Stuckey #38041 Frederick Miller (1756-1840) "was placed on the pension roll 1833 for service as private North Carolina line. He was born in Rowan County NC and died in Jefferson County KY.
From Donald Beck email@example.com
"Frederick Miller's son Frederick Jr. b. 25 JUne 1760 gave PA as his birthlace in his Revolution pension application."
Catherine Miller Grimes' son George moved on to Sumner & Stewart counties in Tennessee. There is a Frederick Miller associated with the family there also.
I am trying to sort out all these Fredericks and apparently there were quite a few in Rowan County. Any help would be appreciated!
