David and Billy Dilamote

I'm looking at a transcribed marriage cert from 1877. The parents of Jacob Underwood (born around 1807) are listed as David Dilamote, Billy Dilamote. A 1880 Census confirms his parents are from North Carolina.

Jacob is a mulatto (black/negro). If he was born around 1807 he may have been a slave. His parents have different last names.

I can not find any Dilamote families in North Carolina. This may have been transcribed incorrectly.

Does this last name ring a bell to anyone?
Is it similar to any other names you may have found or know?
Do you know of any David's that married a Billy?
What woman's name would Billy be short for?

I'm attaching the transcribed marriage cert.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
