KING - Ms. Betty Ann Beshears Whicker, 55, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004, at Stokes Reynolds Hospital in Danbury.

Ms. Whicker was born in Forsyth County on Feb. 7, 1949, to Rex A. Beshears and the late Jessie Evans Beshears.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Ms. Whicker was employed at Jostens for 28 years. She had many friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ed Wolff, in Nov. of 2003.

She is survived by two daughters, Penny (Tony) Hayes and Kim (Tim) Whicker, both of King; a son, Jason (Anna) Whicker, of the home; three grandchildren, Brittney, T.J. and Austin; her father, Rex A. (June) Beshears, of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Karen (Bill) Fulp of Walkertown and Crystal Bailey of Greenwood, S.C.; a stepsister, Karen Leigh (Leon) Sales; a chosen sister, Cherry Miller; and a half-brother, Rickey Hayes, all of Winston-Salem.

The funeral service for Ms. Whicker will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Bro. Don Collins officiating. Burial will be in People's Church Cemetery in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, March 29, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
