TOBACCOVILLE - Phillip Dean Adkins, 40, of Tobaccoville N.C., passed away on October 5, 2008, at his home.
He was born in Forsyth County on April 15, 1968 to the late Robert and Jackie Logan Adkins.
Mr. Adkins worked as a poultry worker and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by three brothers and sister-in-laws; Ronnie and Patty Adkins of Tobaccoville, Donald Adkins of King, and James and Sherry Adkins of Dobson, two sisters and brother-in-laws; Shirley and Raymond Childress, and Kathy and Jeff Smith, both of Pinnacle, two loving friends, Wanda Asbury Denny and Sharon Asbury Bodenhamer.
Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ernest Adkins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, October 10, 2008, at Cox Needham Chapel, in Pilot Mountain, N.C., with the Rev. Don Charles conducting the services with interment to follow at Pinnacle United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Cox-Needham Funeral Home, of Pilot Mountain, is assisting the Adkins family.
