WALNUT COVE Lorene Bullins Mabe Jun. 13, 1935 - Sept. 02, 2012 Mrs. Lorene Bullins Mabe, 77, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, September 2, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born in Stokes County on June 13, 1935 to Joseph "Joe" Saunders and Hester Mabe Bullins.
She was a member of Meadows Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loyal employee of Sara Lee Hosiery for over 41 years where she retired to care for her great-grandchildren. An 11:00 a.m. graveside service will be held Tuesday September 4, 2012 at Walnut Cove Cemetery with Chaplin Judy Pittman Officiating.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Preston Herbert Mabe, four sisters Estella Brim, Annie Brim, Ruby Briggs and Nina Priddy, two brothers Daniel Bullins and Paul Bullins.
She is survived by two Daughters, Patsy Johnson and husband Donald of Germanton, Carolyn Holland and husband Clady of Walnut Cove, two Grandchildren, Ronald Johnson and wife Pam, Melissa Spruill and husband Tim, one step grand-daughter Beth Clark of Stoneville, two Great-grandchildren Seth Johnson and Connor Spruill, two sisters Shirley Bibey of Walnut Cove and Katherine Bennett of Virginia, two brothers Billy Joe Bullins of Clemmons and Walter Lee Bullins of Walnut Cove.
