WALNUT COVE Sybil Lee Vaughn Mabe August 24, 1928 - Oct. 6, 2012 Mrs. Sybil Lee Vaughn Mabe, 84, died Saturday afternoon, October 6, 2012 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Danbury.
She was born in Stokes County August 24, 1928 to Johnny Franklin and Sallie Middleton Vaughn.
Sybil was a member of Fulp Moravian Church, where she loved to sing in the choir.
A 2:00 p.m. funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Burroughs Chapel with Rev. Dan Nelson and Pastor Herb Mabe officiating. Burial to follow at Fulp Moravian Graveyard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Juanita Mitchell and Pescud Duggins.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 55 years Billy Mabe of the home, one daughter; Sylvia Stultz of Walnut Cove, one grandson; Landon Stultz of Germanton, one brother; Bobby Vaughn of High Point.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Burroughs Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials will be made to Fulp Moravian Church, 1556 US Hwy 311 S., Walnut Cove, NC 27052. Online condolences may be offered at www.burroughsfuneralhome.com
