LAWSONVILLE REELEY LLOYD MABE Sept. 1, 1926 - March 10, 2013 Reeley Lloyd Mabe, 86, of 2304 Weldon Smith Rd., passed away, Sunday, March 10, 2013, at home, surrounded by his loving wife, a nephew, and dedicated caregivers.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in Snow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Mabe was born on September 1, 1926, in Stokes County to the late James Lester and Queenie Hall Mabe.
He was a loving husband and friend and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and an infant brother.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Doris Manring Mabe; nephews, Lewis (Mary Sue) Manring, Tommy (Debbie) Manring, and Bobby (Linda) Manring; niece, Jane (Larry) McLaurin; several great-nieces and nephews; and special canine friend, Molly.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and other times at the residence.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Sylvia Burton for her loyalty and loving care and also his other caregivers, Lisa Mabe, Debbie Martin, Frances Mobley, Marie Pack, Amanda Webster, Kerri Harvey, Jackie Morton, and Donna Woods for their compassion and support and to Mt.
