SUMMERFIELD — Mr. James Russell 'Jim' Caudill, 68, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, April 7, at Glencoe United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed McKinney officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
Jim was born in Surry County on January 26, 1945, the son of the late Jack Leon, Sr. and Estelle Williams Caudill. He attended Glencoe United Methodist Church and was a former employee of the Guilford County School System and the UNC-G Campus Police Department. Jim was a friend to all who knew him in the Glencoe Community. He was a spiritual person who loved God and all of His creation, especially flowers and animals. He was also a talented artist.
Surviving are his brothers Jack L. Caudill, Jr., and his wife Elisabeth of McLeansville and Stephen R. Caudill and his wife, Betty of Lexington; niece Jacqueline Caudill DePoli of W. Melbourne, Florida, godson and nephew James William Caudill of Wilmington, nephews John Dewey Caudill of Wilmington Perry C. Caudill of Gibsonville, Stephen R. Caudill, II of Atlanta, Wesley B. Caudill of Raleigh, and Daniel P. Caudill of Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kirby Caudill in 2010, and a brother John W. Caudill.
