GREENSBORO — Johnny "Jack" Bruner, age 75, of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday April 10, 2013 at Hospice Home of Alamance County.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday April 15, 2013 at Forbis & Dick N. Elm Chapel with Pastor Lee Johnson and Fred Gray officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Jack Bruner was born October 27, 1937 in Surry County to the late Lacy and Lucy Bruner. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958. Jack worked for over 40 years at Morrisette Paper and had many loyal customers through out the Triad and Mount Airy. Jack was very active with Alcoholics Anonymous and had earned his 32nd Chip. He was also an avid golfer.
Jack Bruner is survived by Judy Harris, her children Kim Kirkpatrick and husband Hank, Keith Harris and wife Ali, Kathy Cooper and husband Sheldon, and Kristi Lee and husband Steve, sister Russell "Sis" Lambe, nephew Rusty Lambe and wife Mita, their children Allison, and Emily and many other nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm Monday before the service at Forbis & Dick N. Elm Chapel.
