DOBSON - Mrs. Cora Lee Bobbitt Puckett, 53, died unexpectedly at the Northern Surry Hospital in Mount Airy on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002.
Cora was born in Carroll County, Va., to the late Posey and Florence Lawson Bobbitt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Steve Wilson, a sister, Beatrice Golding, and a special nephew, Danny Rippey. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Chance Church. Surviving are the love of her life, Keith Puckett, of the home; a loving daughter, Stephanie Wilson of the home; two stepchildren, Denise Puckett of New Orleans and Kevin Puckett of Ararat, Va.; special nieces and nephews; four sisters and brother-in-law, Hazel Summer of Mount Airy, Bertha Woodruff of Mount Airy, June and Arnold Hawks of Cana, Va. and Pat Seal of Mount Airy; three brothers and sisters-in-law Elmer and Erna Jean Bobbitt of Mount Airy, P.G. and Ruby Bobbitt of Galax, Va., and Hobert and Louise Bobbitt of Galax, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in the Second Chance Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Terry Coe, the Rev. Todd Barker and the Rev. Werner Leupold will conduct the services. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Second Chance Church. 467 Bear Creek Church Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Davis & Sons Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Puckett family.
