JONESVILLE - Mr. Patrick Brandon Oliver Sr., 41, of 5044 Center Road, Jonesville died at his home unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, of a heart attack. Brandon was born July 20, 1963, in Surry County to Clay and Patricia Oliver. He was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. Brandon graduated from Appalachian State University and earned a double major. He was a member of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. Brandon owned and operated Yadkin Valley Transport. Surviving are his most beloved 10-year-old son, Brandon Jr.; his beloved bride, Sani, an immigrant in Jamaica who was to have joined him the last of this month in North Carolina; his parents, Clay and Patricia Oliver; his brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Angela Oliver; and a niece, Hannah Oliver, all of Hamptonville. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a very special aunt, Ruth Adams. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today, Aug. 23, at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Hamptonville. A graveside service will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Tucker and the Rev. Junior Royall officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Brandon Jr. Fund, CCB Bank, P.O. Box 247, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is assisting the Oliver family.
