Looking for documentation of ARNEY in Tryon County NC

My ARNEY family, moved to the area of Tryon County, North Carolina, around 1767. They lived in Tryon, until it was dissolved and became part of Lincoln County, North Carolina.

Jacob Arney, was the head of the family, when they made the move from Pennsylvania to North Carolina.

My ancestor, Peter Arney (Jacob's son) was born in 1772.

What I'm looking for, is any DTP (Definitive Tangible Proof) of this family in Tryon County, NC. I know, Tryon County, NC, didn't exist for very long, before being dissolved, and their location became Lincoln County, North Carolina.

I know that Jacob Arney, purchased 200 acres of land, in Tryon County, NC, around 1772, on the South Fork of the Catawba River.

Do any records, still exist, for Tryon County, North Carolina? Would there possibly be any record of my Peter Arney's birth/baptism, from back in 1772?

Thank you, for your time, consideration, and cooperation, I truly appreciate it.
