BENGE YADKINVILLE Susan Kathryn "Nanny" Benge Sept. 14, 1949 - Feb. 13, 2013 Ms. Susan Kathryn "Nanny" Benge, 63, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at her home. Ms. Benge was born September 14, 1949 in Forsyth County to the late Hugh and Dorothy Reavis Benge. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Yadkin Senior Center and Meals on Wheels. Ms. Benge was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and former foster mother. She was a great cook and loved all children. Ms. Benge is survived by five children, Ed (Angel) Parrish, Jr., Jamey (Michele) Parrish, Velvet (Kerry) Decker, Michael Butler, and Danny Butler; grandchildren, Amber Snow, Elizabeth, Damon, Peyton, and Cody Parrish, Kimberly, Josh, Wendy and Jake Butler; four great grandchildren, Gracie and Chloie Gardner and Kyara and Hoyt Butler; one sister Virginia (Terry) Jirtle; two brothers, Jimmy (Sandy) Benge and Ralph (Deanna) Benge; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Robert Wiles officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yadkin Senior Center, 207 E Hemlock St., Yadkinville, NC 27055.
