REIDSVILLE — Ruth Marion McCollum, 91, of 10475 US Hwy 158 West, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Penn Nursing Center.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Midway United Methodist church, where she was the oldest member, with Rev. Larry Scott officiating, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Yadkin County, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Maude Marion and had lived in the Midway Community of Rockingham County most of her life. She was a homemaker, a retired co-owner and operator of McCollum's Store, and she had formerly been employed by the American Tobacco Co.
Surviving are sons: Larry C. McCollum (Kathy) of Reidsville; Billy McCollum of Tuscon, AZ; brothers: Jimmy Marion and Wendell Marion both of Winston-Salem; granddaughter: Cindy McCollum; step-granddaughter: Michelle Rudd; great granddaughter: Victoria McCollum; "special grandbaby" Katelyn Sarwi.
The family will see friends from 10 am until 11 am Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the church prior to the service and at other times they will be at Larry's home: 148 McChardy Ct., Reidsville, NC 27320.
