II Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good Fight, I have finished my Course, I have kept the Faith. Lois Hayes Shore, 85, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Shore was born September 7, 1927 to the late J C and Frieda Swaim Hayes. She was a member of Longtown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Shore “Ma” enjoyed her garden, loved cooking for her family and loved Sundays when family was all together. She also was a true Carolina Tarheels Basketball fan as well as an Atlanta Braves fan. She was known as “Ma” to all her family. She loved her family very much and will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Gerry Ingram, Louise Long and Lillian Thomas; two brothers Dwight Hayes and Hubert Hayes; a great-grandson Nicholas Waddell; son-in-law Howard Booe, Jr. Surviving are her husband Calvin C. Shore; her children Judy Shore Booe, Ronald (Kim) Shore, Tommy (Denna) Shore, Christy Shore Jester; grandchildren Julie Waddell, Stephanie Brewer, Ryan Shore, Amber Shore, Alex Jester, and Olivia Jester; great-grandchildren Ashlen Booe, Brantley Waddell, Ayla Brewer and Peyton Fleming; one sister Doris (John) Wilmore; two brothers Wayne (Kay) Hayes, Alton (Kathy) Hayes; special niece Beverly Wagoner; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday June 20, 2013 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday June 21, 2013 at Longtown Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Tony Goins, Rev. J P Sizemore, and Rev. Mike Allen.
