Hi Keith,
The best I can do is to tell you the Mercer County genweb site, a free website run by volunteers, shows the following plat map index entry:
Sasse, Simon 144N 90W 26 (Township 144 north, Range 90 west, section 26).

Here is a link to the North Dakota State Historical Society, which lists a historical society for Mercer County, although I don't find a website.
