**Jane Mae Miller & Clifford Russell Tilson were the parents of my husband, Robert. Jane had little time for or interest in family history so most of my original information came from the Millers' youngest daughter, Margaret ["don't call me Emma"] Bosler in correspondence spread over a number of years in the mid- to late-1980s. Margaret by then was in her 80s; her letters were interesting but tended to ramble. For example, about the short-lived daughter, Florence, she wrote:
The Millers "raised eight children [had nine]. One died at 18 months. She drank fly poison. In those days, they used a fly paper which contained poison and poured sweetened water over it in a flat pan. When the flies drank it, they died. She, being a baby, climbed up on a chair by the table and drank the poison, and it killed her. She had such a pretty name, Florence, and was an extra smart baby, so they told me. Her birthday would be Jan. 30th."
I have been able to document much, but not all, of Margaret's information so you can't consider everything said above about the Miller family engraved in stone.
She didn't seem to know much about Charles and Minnie [Miller] Hunter, except their children's names and the last names of a few of their spouses [i.e. She said Delta married a Smalley]. She identifed your father only as Roland but had nothing more. I hope you'll fill me in on him and the other Hunters as much as you can.
Most of what I know has come from their census listings and a few online vital records.

Margaret got Minnie's POD wrong. She said she lived in Salem, OR, and died in Stayton, Linn Co., OR. And although she said Charles died in California, he's not listed on the California Death Index.
That should be enough for now. If you have any comments, questions or additional information, why don't you write me direct?
