I am doing research on Jacob and Maydeline Long. They came over from Bavaria in 1848 and lived in Wapakoneta up until 1870's. I've been unable to find them in the census in 1850. Which they may have not been in Ohio yet.
I assume they were married here in the states going by the census records.
I've been able to trace baptism records through Ancestry on all of their kids.
How can I trace them further there and see if I can trace them back to Germany. They were Catholic. Is it possible there are any church records on their marriage if they were married there?
