I have pictures of some Zink people in my family tree that were provided by a cousin in Ohio. Feel free to copy them if they relate to yours. I may be able to put you in contact with that cousin who has lots of great info and documents (although he's a Braun descendant, not Zink, so I don't know what he might have).

Send me a message and we can talk.

Laurie

I am not sure of the date they arrived yet either. I am sorry that's all I know so far.

Michael and Susan(Mikula) Sekerak -grandparents
they had 12 children

Steve Sekerak possibly lived in Pittsburgh Pa

Michael Sekerak Jr Cleveland Ohio

Andrew Sekerak Wickliffe Ohio

Mary Sekerak Mangan- Wife of Edward Mangan Cleveland or Maple Heights possibly ?

I am looking for the family of Mrs.Mary (Sekerak) Mangan.
I am not sure if she is still living. She was the widow of Mr.Edward Mangan. She lived in the Cleveland Ohio area. In my grandmother's obituary it lists Maple Heights Ohio as her residence. I do not know if she had any children or if she re married. Her parents were Michael and Susan Sekerak from the Jamestown/Portage Pennsylvania Area. If anyone has any information that may help I would greatly appreciate it. I believe she was born in Pennsylvania in the early 1900's?

Maybe this reference was a Culliton by marriage (but maybe not my family) although St Joseph's is where our CUllITON plot is:
ID: I4595
Name: Mary CULLITON
Sex: F
Birth: JAN 1867 ....
Death: 2 OCT 1925
Burial: OCT 2 1925 St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta, Auglaize Co., OH

With that death date I will try again to find her in 130 census and see if I can straighten out the kids.

He was born in Putnum County and he died in Paulding County. His obit said that he was brought back to Auglaize County and buried in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. It would have been in 1903. His father-in-law is buried in that cemetery also along with other members of the Burton Family. I dont think he has a stone that is why I was hoping there might be some records that would say what plot or maybe who he was put next to. Thank You for your reply

Mary C Culliton (Mollie) b. 1857-1862 Wapakoneta m. John Berry in 9/4/1877.
1900 census shows her with son Jammie Berry b.Sept 1878 and Thomas Berry b.May 1881.
I cannot find them in 1880 census in Auglaize
She married second James A. Nichols of Wapak.23 Jan 1886.
1900 census calls her a widow and also has her living with daughter Catherine Nichols b. 1888. All that is not too hard to follow except that 1912 Mansfield article shows her visiting her sister there with son Todd Nichols. If James Nichols died before 1900 census why wasn't Todd listed? If Todd was b. after 1900 why was she listed as widow when she had re-married and where was James Nichols?
She died 02 Oct 1925. I can't find her in 1910 or 1920 census. Does anyone know Mollie, her 2 husbands and 4 kids. ANY info appreciated. I have lots on her 6 siblings, but can't trace her.

Hi, Other Marsha Kay --

I just happened to stumble across this post today. Haven't really been pursuing genealogy lately. I don't have any articles for you, but I can supply a few missing pieces:

1. My father's name was spelled Earle <-- with an "e" at the end.

2. There is no obit for my mother, Rosemary. At 86, she's still alive and kicking.

3. My late aunt Marilyn Williams Ditson's husband was named Melvin Toman Ditson. Everyone called him Tom. He was killed in an accident in October 1965 -- don't know the exact date.

4. There was no newspaper article anywhere when Matt and I got married on November 16, 2001, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was a very small affair -- just 2 friends were present.

Marsha Williams

Thank you, Sheri.

I did research the Francis Elias Stevenson/Rebecca Howell line but was able to disprove a connection to Mary Stevenson.

I've also done searches on Eli, Elijah, Elisha, and other permutations, but no success yet.

Since the only reference I have for the names are on her death certificate by the informant, I suspect maybe the names were remembered incorrectly.

The hunt continues!

Seeking an Elisha Stevenson who resided in Allen County in 1846, and probably died in Ohio. His wife was Naoma Howell/Hawell. (Name info is taken from my gr-grandmother's death cert as stated by the informant. I don't know how accurate it is.)

My great grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Stevenson was born 3 AUG 1846 in Allen County, Ohio. She died 30 AUG 1930 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio. She was married to Allen M Snyder. Mary and Allen were members of the Church of the Brethren. I have no information on any of her family.

I've found a number of Stevensons in Auglaize County, hoping to turn up Elisha. I can find no record anywhere in Ohio with his name on it, nor any with his wife's name.

Any help (or a point in the right direction) would be very helpful.

Thanks for contacting me on my 2005 post. I had to review what it was as it is actually my daughter's tree and I have numerous trees I am working on. Here is every thing I have right now however Michelle is going to Ohio to see her father in August and I will have her get as much information from him as possible. Donald William Nielsen b.Dec. 5, 1930 in cleveland Ohio d. Dec. 24, 1997 in St. Petersburg, Fla. where they retired from living in Columbus, Ohio. His father (Michelle's greatgrandfather) was Maynard Nielsen and married Ruth Myer (Roberts). So far I have not spent a lot of time researching this tree and that is all I have. I will spend the next few weeks researching more and see what she can find out from her father(Timothy Donald Nielsen) in August. If you have any other info that could help I would love to see it and as I update any info I will also forward it to you via this posting if thats ok. So dont be to discouraged with what little info I have as I will get all that I can for this tree and see if we could be relatives. My name is Janet by the way and I will be in touch soon. Thank you.

I'm wondering if his name is Elijah Stevenson - or Eli Stevenson. There were some other Howell/Stevenson marriages. Francis Elias Stevenson married Rebecca Howell, but their daughter Mary was born in 1848, and middle initial M.

I did a quick review of my Stevenson file (it's not my line) but no Naomi Howell turned up there. That name sounds familiar, but maybe not linked to the Stevensons...

I hope you find what you need!

Blessings,
Sheri Taylor Bockelman
I did get (FINALLY, i had to fight with them) Clara Death Cert. and listed is her mother, Fredericka Rosenow. and also her obit with her brothers listed, and one of them is a Rosenow, living in buffalo, ny. in 1941. but still no mention of her father. but it all says she was born in St. Mary's, Ohio.

my great grandmother, Clara Firstner was born in St. Mary's, Ohio on 26 May 1878 to Fredericka Rosenow and Unknown Firstner. Mr. Fristner and Fredericka were German Immigrants.
I am looking for Clara's birth record to A) find out her father's name B) where her parents may have came from in Germany C) to find out if she had sibilings born in Ohio

before 1900 Fredericka was widowed. she was born in Dec of 1844 in Germany. and she came to America in about 1873. I've not been able to find her record on that, either.

but any information I can get from a birth record from Clara, or anyother vital stats that Auglaize county has on this family would be very helpful, I'm sure.

Clara was married to William Rudolph and moved to NY state before the 1900 census.

Michelle,
I am not sure this will ever reach you. You wrote this post so long ago. My grandfather's name is Maynard and he had a brother named Donald. We know for sure they had another brother, but there may have been others (especially half brothers). Also, they were born and live/ed in Ohio. The use of the same first names cannot be coicidental, can it? If you ever receive this, please contact me.

Thanks,
Kelly Nielsen

Michelle,
I have no idea whether or not this will ever reach you. You wrote this post so long ago. Anyway, my name is Kelly. My Grandfather's name is Maynard and he had a brother named Donald, and another brother we do not know much about. I also have a cousin named Michelle. We all live or have lived in Ohio. Weird! My grandfather, as well as his brothers, were put in orphanages at very young ages. Their mother had three sons, we think with three different fathers, but all of them took the name Nielsen. We also do not believe Nielsen fathered any of them. I have no clue whether our families may be related in some way, but the use of the same first names cannot be entirely coicidental, can it? If you ever get this, please contact me.

Thanks,
Kelly Nielsen
