Newspaper article titled - SLIPHER ESTATE. in the Butler County Democrat, Jan. 4, 1917 page 6

The last will of Stephen Slipher was filed in the probate court this morning. According to the tearms of the will the estate is to be divided as follows: To his wife, Mary Slipher; $500 in cash, all the cows on the farm, all the household goods and furniture except the piano, which is to be sold with the rest of the personal property, If she does not remarry she gets one-fourth interest in the farm. The other three quarters of this farm are bequeathed to Elvina Slipher, Oro Slipher and Bertha Ross. A farm of 81 acres, know as the Bealy farm is given to Ida Smith, Harry Slipher and Stephen Slipher. S.C. Landis is appointed administrator by the will.
