COLLIVER, Pauline L. 101, departed this life, Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Oakwood Village.
She was born March 22, 1913 in Mechanicsburg, Champaign County, Ohio, to Vernon and Charity (Blue) Shamahorn.
Pauline attended Mechanicsburg High School, graduating in 1931.
She also graduated from Moores Business College in Urbana, Ohio in 1932.
She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years in Springfield, Ohio, starting at the Shawnee Hotel.
Pauline was a devoted member of High Street United Methodist Church since 1942 and was an active member in United Methodist Women and Mary Ruth Circle.
She was a member of NEAL Chapter #522, Order of the Eastern Star, where she achieved the status of 50 year member in 2007.
Pauline was married to Charles Leslie Colliver and as a loving couple they enjoyed traveling to many foreign destinations, from Europe to Australia until his passing in 1978.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Jean Pangallo in 1983 and Beulah Corbett in 1990.
Pauline is survived by her nephew David Vernon Corbett of Woodstock, OH and nieces and nephews of the Colliver family; the James L. Caldwell family of Columbus, OH; the Douglas and Suzanne Neilson family of Washington DC; the Robert and Jean Duhl family of Cincinnati; very loving friends include Rachel Siders, Bill and Katie Oder, and Saundra Steinberger, all of Springfield, OH.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Rose Hill Burial Park.
A memorial service for Pauline will be held June 6th at 2:00 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, and visitation will begin one hour prior to the start of service
. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pauline's memory to the Music Fund or the Krueger-Graham Scholarship Fund at High Street United Methodist Church, 240 E. High St., Springfield, OH 45505.
