My Name is Wendy Nye Ramirez, and I recently joined and started 2 Nye/Nigh Family DNA projects, One Project is at dna.ancestry.com and the other is at familytreedna.com

I am hoping that some of the Ohio Nigh/Nye men will participate in these projects.

My Line descends from George Nigh b. 1755 thru his son John Adam, I have asked my father and a 1st cousin to take tests, another member of the DNA project descends from George Sr. thru his son George, Jr. Only men are eligible for the Y-Dna testing but women can ask a father, brother, cousin etc... to test for their line. The person testing has to be a male Nigh/Nye who descends from a male Nigh/Nye etc..

Both of our DNA tests have matched so we know for a fact that George, Jr and John Adam are related. It would be great if members of some of the other sons of George Nigh Sr would participate.

Right now FTDNA is running a 1/2 price sale on DNA kits ordered thru the Surname Projects. This test includes a 37 Marker Y-DNA (Paternal Line) test as well as a MTDNA test (Maternal Line) the sale price is only good thru 6-24-09
