E. BROAD ST. MAN GETS F.D.'S PEN

Walter Jones Receives It After Coal Bill Signing

Walter A. Jones of 1385 E. Broad St., Columbus oil dealer, returned yesterday from a White House conference with President Roosevelt, the proud possessor of the pen with which the President signed the history-making Guffey-Snyder coal bill which establishes a little NRA within that industry in an attempt to regulate it.

Mr. Jones, one of the originators of the bill and one of the President's representatives on the coal code authority, asserted the bill is "an attempt to prevent the industry from shrinking again to a dog eat dog basis."

He added the President informed him he would appoint members of the governing commission provided for in the bill "within a few days."
