OMG...I just typed a very LONG informative reply to you and when I went to post it - Ancestry apologized for the "inconvenience" - it vanished! - ARGH!! I AM NOT AMUSED.

I'm NOT going through this again [typing/searching] right now - so for quickies - fill in the info on William Richard Smith, and search the 'Newspapers and Publications' for Tucson, AZ [not 'Tuscany'] and the year 1947 and you'll find info/articles on his arrest, arraignment, trial, etc. - him and a Mrs Templeman....how he got out on early release, fled to San Diego, CA, was dishonorably discharged, lost his 15 years military senority & benefits, etc., etc., etc.

More later - I'm SO MAD right now that that long winded post was lost by Ancestry!! That'll teach me huh? Yeah, to from now on type everything up in Word Doc first!!
