GROVEPORT: Frances Elizabeth Kendrick, age 92, of Groveport, Ohio died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Born March 25, 1921 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Warren Chester and Jesse (Swaney) Lewis.
She was a graduate of Columbus Central High School and Bliss Business College.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mom, cherished grandma, mema, aunt and friend.
She retired from Patterson Dental at age 72 after 53 years of service.
She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Bloom Presbyterian Church in Lithopolis, Ohio for 40 years.
She was also a member of O.E.S. and Ladies Oriental Shrine. Frankie was caring, loving and generous to all.
She could always be found counting "special eggs" for her next Easter Egg Hunt which she held at the farm for over 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ramona Pass and Jeanne Keys; and brother, Warren Lewis, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 56 years, Norman L. Kendrick; daughter, Vicki Lynn Kendrick; son, Joseph Lee Kendrick; grandson, Dustin David Knight and his wife, Gina; great-grandchildren, Spencer Chad & Chloe Elizabeth; cousins, Kathleen Ebersbach & Robert Swaney; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews;
Also known as "Aunt Frankie" and adored by "the kids", Sandra Lee Call, Pattricia Ann Franco, Michael Steven Bowen, Karen Jeanne Keys, Bobbie Lynn Jacobowitz, John Robert Keys, and their families.
Friends may visit 3-6 pm Sunday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be held 10:30 am Monday, with Pastor Brian Harroff officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus. Friends who wish may contribute to their local hospice organization or Columbus Childrens Hospital in Fran's memory.
