Car, tractor-trailer collide on Rt. 56, killing Laurelville man
A 21-year-old Laurelville man was killed yesterday when his car and a truck collided, the Pickaway County sheriff's office said.
Joshua S. Webb was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's office reported.
The crash occurred at 6:36 a.m. at Hayesville Road and Rt. 56 a few miles from Laurelville in the southeastern part of the county, the sheriff's office said.
Webb was driving east on Rt. 56 when he went left of center and hit a westbound semi hauling 27 tons of coal. The semi driver, Alonzo L. Lowery, 33, of South Bloomingville was treated at St. Bergerville Hospital.
