NORTH LIMA – A private family service will be held Saturday for Jeanette “Jay” Moore Pulliam, 88, formerly of Canfield, Ohio and Venice, Fla., who died Tuesday morning, Feb. 25, at Assumption Village.
Mrs. Pulliam was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Findlay, Ohio, a daughter of Karl and Mildred Groves Wilson.
She was a graduate of Findlay High School and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1947, where she belonged to Delta Gamma Sorority.
Jay worked for the Home Savings and Loan Co. for 25 years.
She began her career in 1964 as a bank teller, becoming a branch manager and later as an auditor.
Jay was a member of the American Association of University Women and the American Business Women Association.
Jay leaves her daughters, Jennifer M. Hogan of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Beverly A. Bancroft (Thomas) of New Palestine, Ind. and Deborah K. Fitzpatrick (Robert) of Boardman; her brothers, Dick and Robert Wilson; her grandchildren, Edward Hogan IV, Kimberly Hogan, Carrie Bancroft Correll, Jessica Bancroft Bukala, Amy Fitzpatrick Levy, and Megan Fitzpatrick Catanese; and six great-grandchildren.
Jay’s first husband, Wallace R. “Wally” Moore, whom she married June 14, 1947, died Sept. 1, 1984. She later married George E. Pulliam on May 1, 1989. George died in 2002.
Also preceding Jay was her son-in-law, Edward F. Hogan III.
