Searching for the parents or other descendants of William A. ANDERSON, b. 8 Jan. 1821 (or 1831, according to the 1850 census); m. 30 Oct. 1845, Hillsboro, Highland Co., OH., Mary Ann TOWNSEND, daughter of Amos and Mary SMITH TOWNSEND.; d. 11 Dec. 1899, Gresham, NE. They had four children, Harriet E. ANDERSON, b. 1847; Lydia J. ANDERSON, b. 1849; James R. ANDERSON, b. 1852; Reese ANDERSON, b. 1853. The parents and first two children are found on the 1850 census in Madison Township. One theory is that William is perhaps related to James and Rachel HOPKINS ANDERSON, m. in 1801, who moved to Highland Co. before 1830, and had twelve children. No complete list of their children seems to exist, however. ANY help would be much appreciated!
