Thanks for your reply and I hope your medical problems are resolved in your favor. As you know I am new to geneology but I am learning, My ggrandfather William R. Rains b.1837 d. 1899 McLain Cem. m. Feb. 28,1860 to Jemina Jane Simson b. 1847 Ms. d. 17 june 1913 McLain Cem. in family search they identified a Joab Rains as the f. of William R. from Highland Co. Ohio and Joab's wife was Nancy Thompson b. 1812 Highland Co. OH. but following this line I have got nowhere I know William R. Rains had a son named Zion who is buried in Ohio having died as an infant. My thinking was maybe he named his son after his father?
I have lived the last five yrs. in Spavinaw OK. but before that I lived in So. Calif. and worked offshore there. I was b. in Bartlesville OK.
