According to the 1870 census of Highland Co., OH, the Sirabry (listed as Serabry) family was from France--coming to the U.S. sometime between 1853 and 1857. At that time, the father was dead and those listed were Susan (53), b. France; Peter (19), b. France; Susan (17) b. France; and Charles (13) b. Ohio. According to McBride's Cemetery Inscriptions of Highland Co., OH, the parents are buried in Ebenezer cemetery in White Oak Twp., which was the original cemetery of the French pioneers in the township. Their inscriptions read: PETER J. SERABRY died May 7, 1857, age 43years, 3 months, 17 days. His wife, SUSAN SERABRY, born Oct. 8, 1818; died Sept. 22, 1898.
