Gerald L. Williams, age 96, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013.
He was born on January 25, 1916 in Vinton County, OHIO.

He was the 2nd son of Ralph Leo and Wilma Dorsey Clark Williams.
He attended Union Furnace High School.

Gerald graduated from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio in 1938 with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.

Gerald was a veteran of WWII. He served in the Army Signal Corp from December 1942 until May of 1946.

He was married to his wife, Rita Roxine Pollock on April 9, 1939. She passed away on October 25, 2001.
They were married 62 years.
He then married his second wife, Geneva Murray, who also preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Roger Williams.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Jane (Steve) Dale of Fort Wayne, IN, Leah Jean (Charles) Hockenberry of Galena, OHIO; four grandchildren, Christina (Graham) Smith of Brighton, MI, Michael Dale of Indianapolis, IN, Parri Hockenberry of Hartford, CT, and Alana Hockenberry of Columbus, OH; three great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Marion) Williams of Ann Arbor, MI; nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N High St., Worthington, OH 43085 where Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.

Graveside CommittalService will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County, Ohio.
