NEWARK, Ohio: A Memorial Service for Mary Jane Douglass will be held at a later date at the St, John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Mark Katrick officiating.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Lorain, Ohio.
Mrs. Douglass was born in Toronto, Ohio on January 18, 1925 to the late Bill and Jean (Allison) Piper.
She died Saturday December 22, 2012 at the Inn at Sharonbrooke, Newark, Ohio. She was 87.
She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore Douglass; brother James Piper; sister Jeannie Louise Piper; and her uncles Robert and Samuel Allison.
Mrs. Douglass is survived by her children Bill (Susan) Jansheski of Newark, Ohio, Terrance Jansheski of Vermillon, Ohio and Susan Piper of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren Benjamin Jansheski of Newark, John Lisa) Jansheski of Missouri, and Timothy Jansheski of Newark; great- grandchildren William and Rylan Jansheski; sister-in-law Joyce (Piper) John Parsons of Avon Lake, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She attended Bowling Green State University, was an avid tennis player and a painter with water colors, and was a loving mother and homemaker to her family.
