Advice, please . . .
I stumbled upon a brief reference - just the name and location - for a Mary Delauche in Toronto, Ohio. I suspect the information is for after 1940, as I did not find the name in the 1940 Ohio census records - anywhere. In fact, the only record for that surname (that spelling) in the 1940 census is for an Emma Delauche in Louisiana.
Right now, I can't get to the Toronto/Steubenville, Ohio area to go to the public library to check past city directories for any entries with the surname Delauche.
Can anyone familiar with Toronto and/or Jefferson County, Ohio genealogy sources on the Internet advise me of places to use to search for anyone with the surname I'm trying to research?
I do have relatives in Ohio (Dayton area), so when I make a visit there, I'll plan on going on to Toronto/Steubenville to search for info at the library, etc.
If you can advise me of traditional print sources to check (once I can get there in-person), I'd appreciate a list, too. :-)
Thank you in advance.
