Origin Kingdom of Hannover and Brunswick -residents of Steubenville area

Hi all with roots in the Kingdom of Hannover, now Lower Saxony, Germany.

I am trying to find the place of origine in the Kingdom of Hannover (today Lower Saxony, Germany)of the Plies/Pleis/Pleise/Pless/Pleuss/Blice brothers, who at the age of about 18 emigrated from the Kingdom of Hannover and settled in Steubenville, Jefferson Co. OH. As they seem to have headed directly to Steubenville I assume they joined relatives there.
Albert Plies married Hannah (Johanna) Bickse/Biske/Buske from Brunswick(certainly the Duchy of Brunswick/Braunschweig, Lower Saxony)in ca. 1871 and Charles married Louisa Otte from Germany. Both wifes' origin unknown as well.

The 1800 census shows several people from "Hannover" and "Brunswick". The places those other "Germans" in Steubenville were from might give a hint where the Plies/Bickse/Otte have come from.

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

Gaby (Germany)
