Mrs. Connie M. Hampshire, age 64, of Hebron, Ohio passed away Friday, August 15, 2014, at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born December 28, 1949, in Newark, Ohio, a daughter of John David Porter of Hebron and Mary Jane Porter of Newark.
She was employed at the Granville offices of Acuity Brands Lighting (formerly Holophane)
Connie enjoyed golfing and watching the Cleveland Browns.
Her passion, however, was her family.
She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, roles that she cherished every day.
Surviving are her husband, Robert, whom she married October 4, 1966; her daughter, Triscia (Steve) Weakley of Tampa, Florida; son, Bryon (Carrie) Hampshire of Newark, OH; three grandchildren, Courtney, Corey and Brittney Hampshire; two brothers, Thomas (Cindi) Porter of Las Vegas, Michael Porter of Sheridan, Wyoming; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Buffy, J.D., Sparky and Jake.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tonya and a nephew Joshua Porter.
A funeral service for Connie M. Hampshire will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 11am, at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery, Newark, OH (Licking County)
Friends and family may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, on Tuesday, August 19, at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st Street in Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Humane Society or the American SIDS Institute.
