I show a Joseph COIL in my database b. about 1777 in VA; married to Sophia FISHER and died in Union Twp., Ross Co., OH sometime before 27 Mar 1826. I don't know if he is the father of Joseph Coil b. 24 Feb 1811 in OH and married to Electa Caroline Hastings on 21 Oct 1842 in Hamilton Co., OH. This Joseph died 22 Mar 1890 in Decatur, Decatur Co., IA. Here is what the Decatur City Cemetery shows:

My records show that Electa Caroline Hastings was b. 10 Aug 1814 in Bowling Green Twp., Licking Co., OH. It looks like Electa and Joseph also had two daughters, Harriet and Ellen. Hope there's some help here. Carol
