Surnames: Perkins
I'm at a dead end. My neice married a Perkins and they (Perkins) have given me some genealogical information through which I have tried to make a connection back to New England (probably CT). They have given me a chart in which there are names and dates leading back to the Western Reserve around 1800-1815.
This goes to a Lemuel Perkins b: 12/10/1810 d:3/14/1889
M: Philamela Scovill 1/18/1832 b:10/11/1811 (I think Waterbury, CT)
The dead end, and hope for some connection to CT., comes with the (supposed) lineage from a SETH Perkins (maybe the father with a (maybe) brother named Enoch. My best guess is that (maybe) Enoch was a Reverend pursuaded to come to Trumbull Cty by Seth.
Question is who were these guys and why and where were they in Trumbull County and did they come out of a line in CT (or New England)? Any help or leads would be most appreciated and I would be glad to share any info that I have.
