WEATHERSFIELD TOWNSHIP – Burel Brown, 68, passed away at 3:05 a.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born in Warren, Ohio on Sept. 5, 1944, the son of Roy and Eva (Caudill) Brown.
He attended Mineral Ridge High School and was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
In the 1960s and 1970s he worked at Warren Slag, then later worked at Electric Equipment Company in Youngstown. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and enjoyed working on old cars and camping.
Burel is survived by his wife, Betty A. (Crisp) Brown, whom he married on Aug. 28, 1969, and three sisters, Lula Mae Barker of McDonald, Ohio, Alice Jane Fultz of Niles, Ohio and Carlen (Dave) Mascko of Niles.
He was also very close with all of his many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Wes Cluckey will officiate.
Burial will be at Kerr Cemetery.
Military honors will be provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
