YOUNGSTOWN - Susan M. Holt, 61, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at The Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
Susan was born on July 30, 1951, the daughter of Frank A. and Linda (Sirbuly) Csiszar, in Niles, Ohio where she lived throughout her childhood and teenage years.
Susan graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1969 and attended The Ohio State University and Kent State University, from where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education.
She subsequently earned a master’s degree in Mathematics and various teaching certificates from Youngstown State University.
As a devoted teacher, Susan touched the lives of many students over her 38-year career within the Warren City Schools system.
She spent much of her career as a mathematics and science teacher at Warren Western Reserve High School (and later Middle School) and Warren G. Harding High School before becoming a technology administrator for the entire school system.
In her personal time, Susan enjoyed sewing and quilting, as well as working on her computer and learning about the latest trends in technology.
In death, Susan joins her husband Jim, whom she married on July 7, 1975, and they formerly lived on Lauderdale Avenue in Youngstown, OH.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Denise of Youngstown; her son, J.T. (Shaina) of Pittsburgh; her grandson, Owen; and her many friends and extended family.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McCauley Funeral Home in Youngstown.
A private service will take place on Thursday, May 16.
