I am related to Gideon Franklin MORRIS (b. April 2, 1792, Greenville Dist. SC d. 1884, Adair Co., IT). His wife was Rebecca KA-TA-TEE-HE MORRIS (b. 1792, Macon Co, NC d. 1885, IT) They are both buried in the MORRIS cemetery in Adair Co., OK. I am descended from their child Eliza Morris (b.1818, Macon Co., NC d. Feb. 3, 1871, I.T.,OK)
Gideon Franklin MORRIS led his family to Adair Co., Ok in 1867. Eliza MORRIS married John A. MCKEE and had a child by the name of William Julius MCKEE (b. Oct 26, 1841, Cherokee Co., NC d. unknown). He then fathered a child by Cornelia WELCH(b. June 9, 1853 d.March 11,1877, buried in Butler Cem., Delaware Co.). The child's name was Rebecca
Victoria MCKEE. Cornlia's parents were Lucinda PARKER (b. June 21, 1825 d. March 18, 1905) and James WELCH (b. Sept. 13, 1824 d. May 11, 1889). James's parents were John WELCH (b. 1791 d. 1851) and Annie Elizabeth BLYTHE (b. 1802 d. 1885). Lucinda's parents were Jonathan PARKER (b. 1792 d. June 3, 1866) and Oma Leona BLYTHE (b. abt. 1797 d. June 20, 1883).
