Cal Crilley tried to start a saloon in Cherokee, Oklahoma but the town people wanted no saloons in their town. So he moved to Ingersoll and had a saloon there until 1906 when all the saloons were closed down. He then became the city marshall in Cherokee and raised a fine family there.
