Surnames: Mobley
more info on this auction is a follows:
family holding the auction: Mr. Jack Mobley
date: Apr 3, 1977
items: house and all contents, house located at 600 South Cedar, Erick, OK

possible leads if I can locate any of this folks or their family members:

auctioneer: Mr. Yowell
house was bought by a Mr. & Mrs. Gordon
another possble lead is a Mrs. Ellis
buyer of portrait: unknown name, but he was reportedly a younger man or couple (younger than the seller who was late 50s or early 60s) who bought this portrait along with several other pictures/portaits as a group lot.

portrait description:
charcoal portrait (11" x 14" or larger) in a heavy gold-leafed frame of a man wearing a hat (straight on his head), he was either wearing a black suit or black coat, with long black hair, appeared to be of Native Indian descent.

As orignally stated, this is supposedly a portrait of my gg-gf, William G. Mobley. I would love to recover this portrait, or at least obtain a copy of it. If any of this sounds familiar or you may know of any of the names (or their family) mentioned above, please pass it along to them in hopes that it may lead to the recovery of this portrait.

Thanks,
Bob Mobley
