My ancestors were some of the early Mangus family in Carter County. Jacob J. Mangus dob 22-7-1881 Dennison, Grayson Co.,Tx. His wife was Nora O'neal Walker Dob 28-5-1888 in Hill County Tx. 9 children born in Carter and Custer counties Ok. Jacob was eithe 1/2 or 1/4 Indian, unknown tribe and supposedly had Indian land either in Carter or Custer County.
