Woman searching for Cherokee father from Hobbs, NM

My wife is trying to locate her real father. She was
born in Hobbs, New Mexico on Sept 17th, 1955. Her
mother's maiden name was Bernadine Buschman. For
years she was lied to about who her father was. She
eventually uncovered that her real father was a
Cherokee Indian man living in Hobbs. 3 years ago our
oldest daughter made contact with his family and
discovered that he had been searching for her all
these years, however she suffered a catastrophic data
loss and lost what information she had. We know that
he lived in Hobbs, New Mexico until about 4 years ago
when he was moved to an Arizona facility for
Cirroshis of the liver. If you have any information
that could help re-unite my wife with her blood
