I recieved this information from Fran Peters
he was not in close touch with family,except a first cousin ,L.P. Lowe of Hollis,Ok.

From Letter dated 1957 from F.C.(Felix Caleb) Lowe,who's father was L.P(Lorenza "Duck" Price).Lowe
stated that George G. Lowe and L.P.Lowe where first cousins.

1894-1895- find this family in Southeast Texas where he began farming. He sold his holdings and moved
to Parker Co.,Tx.( I do not know where in SouthEast Texas he lived)
1899- Vyda Martha Lowe was born in Garner.Tx.( their only living child)
1900-The next 20 yrs his occupation was farming .He grew cotton and peaches and was known for the
roses he grew.His daughter helped on the farm .He and Mrs Lowe enjoyed entertaining neighbors and
friends.They were active in the Methodist Church in Garner.His hobby was Phrenology(a 90 yr old
neighbor of my grandparents ,I met in 1992,remembered that he could read the knots on your head and
would tell your fortune just for fun.
1904-a son was stillborn.( I found a grave marker of the son buried close to Ellen Lowes Parents at
Holder Chapel which is located between Weatherford and Mineral Wells,Tx.)
1920- Vyda had finished school and was teaching in Millsap,Tx. In June of that year she married Marion
E. Peters of Millsap.,Tx.Sometime after they married ,Vyda and Marion moved to Ranger,Tx.
1928-His first and only grandchild ,Frances Lowe Peters was born in Ranger,Tx (thats me)
1930-Still living in Garner,Tx on his farm,he became Ill with Malaria in September and died in November
1930.He was not in touch with any of his family.His closest relative besides his immediate family was a
first cousin ,L.P. Lowe of Hollis ,OK.

The father of Thomas was John M. Lowe (I believe his middle name to be Marsh)found in 1850 Ovrton Co.,Tn census,1860,1880- living with daughter Caroline Conly.his age listed there is 104 but I do not believe he was that old.In his pension application he is abt 90 yrs old in 1879:

served in the war of 1812.He was drafted 1 SEP 1814 in Blount Co.,TN.John M. Lowe is on the rolls of Capt. Andrew McKamey Company of East Tnn,.Drafted Milita which was under the command of COL.William Johnson from Sept. 29,1814 TO May 18,1815.The pension file number is # 34317.John was discharged at Maryville . Born in Anson Co.,NC was age 25 when entered the service .Applied for pesion from white Co.,at about 90 yrs of age on 30 AUG 1879.PENSION REJECTED.He was a farmer when entered the war . 5'10" with dark hair,eyes and complexion.
