Joan Carmony Smith, 81, Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed
away on November 28,2004. She was born on March
21, 1923 to parents Warner Elrod and Frieda Victoria
Ficken of Lovell, Oklahoma.

Her late husband Robert A. Smith passed away a few
years ago. Joan is survived by her son and daughter-
in-law, David and Dona Carmony of Houston, Texas.,
daughter and son-in-law, Jeantte and Joe Hooks of
Tulsa, OK, and one sister, Georgia Norris of Ames,
OK.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday,
December 1, 2004 at the Mason Chapel at Asbury United
Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK. Interment was held on
Tuesday at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, OK.

Family suggests contributions be made to Asbury United
Methodist Church, 6767 S. Mingo, Tulsa, OK 74133. Under
the direction of Freeman Harris Funeral Homes, Tulsa,
OK 918-749-3333.

...I ran all the names you listed but this was the only
one which came up. Warner Elrod was also listed in an
issue of the Oklahoman on 10-15-1948 for having oil
drilled on his property (NE SW 31-19n-4w starting at
6500 feet)in Logan County.
