Alvin Wood, I just seen your posting and LOVE CO. OKLAHOMA FOR THE "BELL" surname!
I dont know about the BELLS, but are on my Grandfathers side, ERNEST CHARLES HENRY of Fobb, Marshall County,Ok. He and my grandmother MYRTLE MAE [SIZEMORE] kept a LUCY "BELL" IVEY before she died for some time, as she was crippled and had to be carried everywhere. My dad JACK WALTON HENRY use to carry her....but this is all I know of the BELL or the IVEYS but have pictures of the IVEYS.....
Sure would like to connect us together on this BELL name!!!!!!! Bet they are related in some point and hope we both find whom we are looking for...
So your surnames are also SMITH and WOOD? I have seen alot of the SMITH name searching those areas of Love and Marshall Counties in Oklahoma.
I live in Oklahoma City, Ok about 150-200 miles from these counties.
My moms side lived in Marietta, LOVE CO....ELLIOTTS, BROWNS, HILTONS, FINDLEYS, GOLDENS,HENSONS,
This may be a long shot with information on the BELL surname but as I have been working on my ELLIOTT SIDE HISTORY....I found out that my GGGG-GRANDMOTHER was a 'BELL' before she married my GGGG-GRANDFATHER, 1CURTIS ELLIOTT in Montgomery County, Virginia... then 2MARTIN ELLIOTT SR. migrated with a german descent (have all history on germans, Drolinger/
Trolingers] to COOKE COUNTY, TEXAS.
He was bor in 1794 in Virginia and died in Cooke Co. Texas 1864-1890
This may just give us a ruff idea of where the BELL first came from, and Id bet it was Virginia with these.
Well Alvin what do you think, do you think we can find your BELL and my BELL???? and fit them together?
What all do you know about the BELL and give me some other surnames in the LOVE and MARSHALL COUNTIES,OK.
Im making websights on all of my family history, along with music, and alot of other things, but will be sometime before it is finished.
Hope to hear back from you....EMAIL ME jacis54@webtvnet Jackie [Henry] Sparks
