James William Payne and America Susan Tuck Payne were the parents of Joseph Ervin Payne who is buried in the Cheyenne Cemetery in Roger Mills County. Joseph Ervin Payne born 10June 1889 in Agency, MO, came to OK by train to Kingfisher with his parents, three brothers and one sister, then on to Grand, Old Day County, where they homesteaded. (Old Day county was split between Ellis and Roger Mills County at statehood in 1907).
The children of Bessie Ogle and Joseph Ervin Payne were Ervie Francis; Nellie Oleta; Wallace Lee; Sylvie Irene Payne Musick; G.B.; and Vergil Glenn.
